
Being on a poorly marked, not so great gravel road no doubt
helps keeps this beach unpopulated and clean. Notice the optical illusion of land on the horizon,
not present from the hill above Cape Flattery.
A much longer and more primitive road takes you to this
end of the world view spot. Though there is a trail to the actual beach, we chose a spur road
up to the top of the hill for this even more dramatic vista. The Pacific Ocean and Vancouver
Island dominate the distance, while Tatoosh Island and incoming large ships catch the foreground
eyes.
